This summer has been dubbed "The Summer of George II." Before coming home from school I was filled with great anticipation for how this summer was going to be one of the best of my life. Unfortunately the first two weeks of my summer we anything but the best of my life. All of my closest friends decided to go to Nauvoo and Hawaii at the same time. So this left me to spend all of my time at home doing nothing. Well the gloom has passed and now the Summer of George II has begun.
Let me go into detail as to why this is the Summer of George II. Last summer my two best friends had an apartment that was literally just around the corner from my house. We determined that we were going to live the summer up. All three of us are die hard fans of Seinfeld and had the idea to dub our summer the Summer of George. For those of you not familiar with this title, I'll explain. George Costanza had just been layed off and was going to receive severence pay for three months. He decided to live it up. He planned to vacation, read books, listen to music, really just have the ultimate summer that anyone could dream of. Unfortunately for George he slipped on an envelope and fell down a flight of stairs shattering both of his legs. The Summer of George as he called it never happened.
Luckily for my friends and I we did not shatter our legs and did have a great summer. Because of the good times we had we have decided to call this summer "The Summer of George II." We are all going to live it up together and attempt to outdo last summer.
In the end the happiness that I currently experience can all be attributed to George Costanza. Without him, my summer would be unnamed, unplanned, and binding. Thank you George for your example!
