Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Some say that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and I certainly agree with that to an extent. I love being with family, participating in family traditions, and having that overall feeling of Christmas spirit. It seems however that Christmas comes and goes in the blink of an eye and that the true meaning of the season gets lost in all the commercialism and materialism that abounds. So that's why I'm going out on a limb to say that summer is the most wonderful time of the year.

Summer is that time when all your cares go out the window. It's that time to be a kid again and relive childhood memories. It's that time to be with family in the backyard making hamburgers and hot dogs. It's that time to be sitting in a park watching fireworks with close friends. It's that time to go camping, swimming, running, biking, hiking and anything else you can think of. It's that time to just sit outside in the sun reading a good book. Yes, summer is truly the most wonderful time of the year.
