Painted Faces Fill the Places

Monday night was quickly looking like it was going to be an uneventful night spent at home. Much to my appreciation, I got a phone call from my friend Anna who told me that she had two free tickets to the Kings of Leon concert and wanted to know if I could come. Secretly I had been wanting to go to this concert because I do like Kings of Leon and I also really wanted to break my ten year drought of not going to any concert of significance. I quickly agreed.

The music was great and we both had a really good time. What was even better than the music was the unplanned entertainment. We showed up about two hours before Kings took the stage so we listened to the openers which weren't spectacular but left us amused. What we really enjoyed during our time was all of the different people. I want to list some of the gifts that the concert gods gave us:

1) Skin--Most women must have thought they were at Warped Tour or that we were on the surface of the sun because most were barely wearing loin cloths and mere pieces of fabric up top.
2) Leather--Most women must also think that it's really attractive to look like a leather bag.
3) Budweiser/Corona/And whatever else you can think of--Drunks are just too great!
4) Ugly Lesbian Couple Making Out--Yep once the music started, they started too. Macking on and grabbing each other. Both of us were a bit grossed out and were grateful once they left.
5) Drunk Dancing Women--I had the opportunity to have some uber drunk lady come up beside me and begin some drunken dance ritual. I asked Anna if she thought I should join with her and she said I shouldn't.
6) And finally, if we hadn't already had enough, we got one more treat on our way out to our car. Some couple to decided to take the song "Sex on Fire" literally and were doing the dirty in their car just as we were walking past.
